History

Canton is a town in Norfolk County, located just 15 miles southwest of downtown Boston at the foot of the Great Blue Hill. Canton was officially incorporated in 1797. Paul Revere built the nation's first copper rolling mill in Canton in 1801. His poem entitled Canton Dale expresses his affection for the town.

Today, Canton is a bustling and growing town with a lot to offer its residents and visitors!

Activities and attractions

Canton is home to many areas of interest for its residents and visitors. If looking for a touch of history visit the Paul Revere Heritage Site, Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate, or Farnham-Connolly Memorial Park. Canton is also home to the Irish Cultural Centre of New England, Trillium Brewing Company, Treetop Adventures, and the Metropolis Skating Rink.

Canton offers a wonderful recreation and parks department for both its residents and visitors to use and enjoy. The town is filled with beautiful parks, walking trails, ponds, and playgrounds.
